When it comes to social medias, the functions of them first came into our mind is using them to
chat with friends, discussing some hot topics or sharing our own perspectives
of one new movie in our posts .But are they the whole functions of nowadays social medias ? Absolutely no. Today we have associated social medias with business management and advertisements.
In today's commercial circles, regardless of what kind of businesses they belong
to, nearly all brands have established their own departments in order to organize various kinds of social medias and gain their particular goals. Some want
to raise concerns from the public and make their brands beome more popular, and others
want to attract audiences and persuade them to buy their products. However, what
kind of truth can support this phenomenon? In the textbook, there were
79 percent of Americans and 69 percent of Europeans in 2010 using tools to link
up with other people, which means that the whole online world has became a
wonderful place to deliver messages with a lower price than traditional
advertising platforms such as TV ads, posters in main streets or phone calls and emails.
This video looks significantly different from other commercial video of
Ray-Ban being putting on TV advertisement programs. It is not so delicate and
professional when you compare it with a few official advertising videoes,it is more
likely that the products will be shot by
normal people. Since that, this video can easily catch audience eyes, thus making
them believe that it is part of the normal life, like just theythemselves have
no need of letting them known that it is commercial at the first place and will
turn it off immediately. It is rather smart, which can only help them did that through
utilizing socialmeans .
Although social medias and groundswell are able to help a lot of enterprises to make profits, for individuals, this trend sometimes can be annoying and
harmful. For instance, Bill Gates dropped the habit of using twitter after
getting 8000 requests a day to be friends. There is too much pressure on the social
media, especially when someone is a celebrity. As for others, we previously call many of our close friends frequently, and now we only can
see their online activities. Morover, in this term, phone call seems to
be unnecessary. But calling to your friend and chatting with them online refelect
totally different feelings. I am sure that if you are reading this article,

It is such a different and simple commercial but we cannot deny how it related to our life which makes me feel like the same connection with the brand. That is the magical part of groundswell: sometimes the less we give, the more we get!
